Project Revell 450R

Feeling the need for yet another bike I decided to collect all the bits in my shed together and see what I could come up with. Then along came a friend who offered my a whole heap of parts for a very reasonable price.

Here's what I got:

Revell 450 R park/jump frame with FSA pig headset
Mavic 329 rims on XT rear hub and Kooka front hub
XT 4 pot hydraulic disk brakes
Deore pod
Deore LX rear derailleur
Panaracer fire XC tyres (pair)
Tioga tyres (pair)
Judy TT forks
Easton EA 50 bars and grips
Truvativ Hussefelt Stem
Easton monkey lite carbon bars
DMR chain device
Two sets of Pace carbon forks.
XT front derailleur
GT BMX pedals
Legion Cranks
lots of other odds and ends

Some of the items were not fit for use, like the grips and chain stay protector, so I cut them off and binned them. The Tioga tyres are also heavily worn and destined for the bin, but at the moment they are protecting the rims. Here's what it looked like:

First job was to de-sticker the frame and strip the bike down then evaluate the work to do.

During strip down I realised the forks were completely shot, and the seat post was seized, also the rear brake calliper had a seized bolt.
Other than that the bike was in OK condition. Just a bit neglected.
